From now on news will be on this blog rather than a news page

Don't forget that there will be a meeting at the Old Down Inn on Monday evening, starting at 8pm. Come along and chat, bring a friend, entertain your fellows, tell a story...

As you know, Eric works very hard to find venues for crank-ups etc. and to find entertainment for our meetings. Any suggestions to help him in this are more than welcome, particularly at this time as a venue is needed for the Roger Pike Memorial Crank-up, because we will be unable to use the car park at the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore.

The AGM will be upon us only too soon, and as yet we have no applicants for the posts of Secretary and treasurer, and nobody coming forward to volunteer to serve on the committee. Without these posts being filled it will be very difficult for the club to continue, so if you want to have local events and affordable insurance in the future you will need to step up. Those who have done so in the past have found it to be extremely rewarding, and some "new blood" on the committee should lead to a greater variety of rewards for our members.
